How your partnership help just one student discover keys to overcoming trauma
One sad reality I have come to discover is that an average student in Nigeria’s tertiary institution is traumatized. But the painful discovery is the fact that many of the events those involved in training them are not aware of what trauma is and how to help someone traumatize.
In pursuit of just one student I was at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi and Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa on 15th, 17th and 19th May 2019 to train students on how to study the Bible using Inductive Bible Study method and also created awareness about Trauma and giving evangelism. I also taught students practical skills for living. I am glad to share with you God’s amazing work.
233 STUDENTS ENLIGHTENED ON TRAUMA
Queen S. Said “after the session I discovered that one can be traumatized and does not know. Sir many students on campus manifest most of the symptoms you mention. I ready to be of help.” While for Blessing I. she said “During the session on trauma what I got was how to relate to those traumatized. Before I REALLY DO NOT TELL GOD HOW I FEEL CONCERNING ANY ISSUE when traumatize and don’t really cry out when others come to sympathize with me during a moment of grief BUT NOW I KNOW HOW TO RELATE AND ACT when traumatize or see people traumatize”. I did this awareness at the two campuses.
This is a huge Area of need with the growing rate of suicide on our campuses. I appeal for your sustained partnership as we reach out to more students in the coming weeks.
236 EQUIPPED WITH INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY SKILLS
One of the participants at the Bible Study Training on 15th May 2019 said “Most times it is difficult to read the Holy Bible and actually understand what a particular text means. But with the Bible Study Training, I can now observe, interpret and apply the Bible to life and also read the Bible as a love letter from God, my first love.” And for Bulus B God open eyes to see more. He said “The Lord open my eyes to see more than what I have not seen before especially understanding how to study the scriptures. I can now study my bible better than before and how to relevantly apply the Bible to my life daily”. Thank you for investing in shaping just one student to discover, develop and deploy skills in Biblical Interpretation.
47 STUDENTS SIGNED TO GIVE GIFT TO JUST ONE MUSLIM STUDENT
One key tool for reaching people with the gospel of Christ is demonstrating the gospel. In pursuit of our outreach to Muslim Students during this Ramadan through acts of kindness 47 Students made coming to give gifts to at least just one Muslim student in their class or neighborhood. Victor one of the student who signed up said: “I am excited at doing something that will achieve a particular goal; showing the love of Christ through acts of kindness.” We gave 8 notepad and 8 biros to eight students to give to their Muslim friends as a gift.
Do pray for these students as they show the love of Christ to their classmate at this season. I also invite you to join the Bayarwa OUTING 2019 as we reach out to just one soul during this Ramadan and beyond. You can do this yourself or empower just one student to show love to just one Muslim student in their class.
21 STUDENTS TRAINED ON MAKING ANKARA ENHANCED NOTEBOOK
Wholistic discipleship requires that we equip students with skills for living. In light of this, I trained 21 Student on how to make Ankara enhanced notebook. We did one together and they, in turn, produced one. The first set of students I taught at the Nasarawa State University now sell their enhanced notebook at N1000 making a profit of N300-500 per book.
You can support this initiative by buying some of the Ankara notebooks as souvenirs to your friend and loved ones. This will be a way of investment in shaping students on campus.
SPECIAL APPEAL
I especially appeal that you kindly consider giving financially to my work through the ministry of Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES) in Keffi Area.
- We still have two months ( March- April for 3 staff) pending staff allowances (N400k+);

- Pray for my wife who Started examinations yesterday as part of her course requirement in ABU Zaria.
