…In Pursuit of Just One Student

 

When a student embraces Christ or is help to become more like Christ, we influence thousands, if not millions, of people for the gospel over the next sixty to seventy years. We have influenced the friends, family, and communities that will surround that Student for years to come. Both opportunity and responsibility beg for multiple voices and strategies to rescue and shape this great generation.

In pursuit of this great responsibility to reach and shape just one student of which you are a copartner with God through my work in Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students God work through us to do the following at the weekend:

 

KAFANCHAN: Our Team in Kafanchan lead by Philip Idris Dio together with Pst Deji    through our outreach Programme to new Students tagged “FIRST YEAR RETREAT” reached out and trained 356 Students with 12 of the trust Jesus Christ as Lord and savior at the Kaduna State University (KASU) Kafanchan Campus. One of the students V Selina that attended the Programme wrote “I was really impacted during the program, I learnt how to pursue and maintain academic excellence even while serving God and I equally learn how to manage, money and how to establish small business enterprise.” Your Partnership with God through NIFES made this possible. Thank you.

 

LAFIA:  6 Associates and 3 staff gathered for the Monthly NIFES ASSOCIATES COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP (NACF) yesterday 3^rd of February, 2019 in Lafia. A forum that brings graduates and partners of NIFES together to share fellowship one with another and pray for the vision. The focus for the day was a Bible Study on Matthew 25:1-13 focusing on getting ready for the coming of the Lord. We all left the place challenge to keep doing our best no matter what may seem as a delay with the coming of the Lord. This also happened because you are coworker with God through the ministry of NIFES. Thank you for giving to the Lord.

 

KEFFI: We were at The Apostolic Church Nigeria yesterday 3^rd February, 2019 to share the vision of Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Student and get more people to sign up as partners through our partnership visit and awareness creation Programme tagged “NIFES DAY IN CHURCHES.” We shared the vision to 60 persons with 12 of them signing up as partners in different categories. This happened because you are a coworker with God through the ministry of NIFES. Thank you for giving to the Lord.

 

MAKURDI: One of the 23 participants E.H. Chidera that attended Our DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING where 5 Students gave their lives to Christ and 9 rededicated their lives to Him at All Saints College of Health Technology, Obu-Otukpa wrote “I understood new things about Jesus. I discovered the importance of having a consistent and effective quiet time. I learnt a lot of things I was never aware of since I gave, my life to Christ.” James Ogharandukun the team leader and other facilitators lead the training sessions. Your partnership with God through NIFES made this possible. Thank you for giving to the Lord.

 

ONLINE PRAYERS: I coordinated an online prayer session on Saturday 2^nd February, 2019 to mark the monthly NIFES Day of Prayer and fasting where I led 162 persons to pray for the forth coming election, the candidates, the nation, Church and the ministry of NIFES. It was a great time of calling upon the Lord to grant us peaceful election and choose godly leaders. People prayed from Lagos, Calabar, Jos, Bauchi, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Japan, Kaduna and several other places. This also happened because you partnered with God through my work in NIFES. Thank You for giving to the Lord.

 

One weekend 610 persons engaged with 17 Students embraced Jesus Christ as Lord and savior and 9 rededications. Your partnership with my work in NIFES has set them on the right part of influence. You have influence generations. Thank you for giving to the Lord.

 

PRAYER POINTS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR INVESTMENT:

I am glad to share with you, opportunities for more investment this week:

• Pray for those who make commitment to Jesus Christ to be established in their faith.
• Pray and give towards the N150k we need to pay allowance of five staff for January 2019
